I came from work feeling so tired after the long day.
I was relieved that it had come to an end and as i walked to my house
my body was aching and longing for my comfort zone"MY BED"
Just the feeling that today is friday made my heart dance with joy yes i said to myself
TGIF!!!!Let the weekend begin, i mean who hates friday???
Me going to sleep tomorrow oooh and no waking up early(WHAT A SHAME COZ I KNOW I GOT GO TO CHURCH)

  "living in a foreign country is something interesting but sometimes very difficult
tenaa especially when people around there dont speak the universal language"Kidhungu?English"
It is more difficult and boring for people like me who do not bother so much
to find information of how things go in this country like how do they celebrate their public holydays?
what are the laws of the country? what are the rights of a citizen and non citizens...

Here is the story now'

Was in a deep sleep by 12:01 a.m, and by then was enjoying my time in dreamland
only to be awakened by some bombs like shooting or gun shots allover the town,, at first i thought
i was dreaming, only to open my eyes and ears to confirm that indeed i heard it correctly it was not a dream.
i couldn't breathe or move an arm, i felt  paralysed and my mind send me a signal that
the men who work at midnight hours"thugs" are at work in my street, i felt like there were coming closer to my gate... and eventhough it is very cold over here was sweating allover..
I gathered courage and managed to come out of the bed while i said a little prayer as i opened my window curtain to check outside only to get more scared as i saw the flames of the shootings from the sky.
I walked to the next room that is situated near the gate, opened the curtain to make sure tha tmy house gate is safe, and indeed there was no one,, i continued praying while the shootings continued to be even harder and faster,, it seemed like they were coming closer...
Then i thought of calling my mum as she makes me feel safe but what could she do with this miles away from me??would i not scare her???
Was damn sCARED, i only had J.E.S.U.S to turn to and i prayed over and over calling out his name, then i went to my bathroom and decided to call my colleague who is a citizen in this country and asked her if she heard of the shootings since we live near.

OMG only to find out that it was a public holyday and those were fireworks done by the municipal city as a way of celebrating and welcoming the day!!!!
Ouh poor me,, how could i forget this?even after seeing all the posters intown
Felt like the biggest idiot!!!!
I had to laugh all aloud,,, laugh at myself!!!!

Now cannot even sleep again and here comes the big rain,,,,,

I have just learned my lesson.
Information and news is something that i have to make effort to know and search
it is not something that i have to wait and let it come by itself.
It is always nice to be informed and full of knowledge especially of what is going on in your surrounding and the place where you live.
It is important to know the cultures and traditions of  the foreign country that you live and even on those you do not live as it will help you interact without having to worry that  you on the wrong side.

God Gives Us Today

Scripture: “Then he said to them all: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23

She went to this really great concert a few weeks ago to see a Christian band play some incredible music.
She got there really early because she wanted to be one of the first to get in the door and over to the stage to see the band play.
 To get to the line, she had to walk by a young man standing on the corner next to the venue where the concert was being held.
 Well, he wasn’t just standing there. He was singing his heart out into a microphone and playing his amplified acoustic guitar. And he wasn’t just singing ANY song. He was singing songs by the band of which she was about to see on stage inside the venue.
 It was obvious that this guy probably didn’t have a ticket for the concert, and it was also very obvious that he was not a very good musician. She thought to herself “Wow, if I was part of this band, I would be offended by how awful this guy sounds!” she also thought “I hope I don’t have to listen to him the entire time I’ll be waiting in line here.”

Moments after those thoughts crossed through her mind, the music stopped and she was relieved.  She turned to look back at the street corner musician only to find him hanging out on that very corner with the lead singer of the band! And the singer, who’s name is Jon, was laughing with him and giving him a hug! Then Jon gave the street corner musician a ticket to the concert. It doesn’t end there. During the concert, Jon introduced the street corner musician to the entire crowd and invited him on stage to play a song with the whole band.
                                 
Jesus in Disguise:
While Jon introduced the street corner musician to everyone in the crowd, She found out that he was HUMBLED by the impact his music had made on this young aspiring musician. Jon’s music had such an impact that the musician put himself out in public, in the middle of a bigcity, to play music filled with messages of Jesus’ love because he wanted it to have an impact on all those who were listening, and didn’t care if he seemed foolish. Her heart broke when she  realized how selfish she was.
She only thought of herself and that she deserved “better” while waiting in line. Really, the street corner musician was being brave, taking risk and living out his faith. He was being a true disciple. She saw Jon as Jesus in disguise coming out to tell the street corner musician, “well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Being Sharpened:
I tend to have to learn things many times over again because my human nature always leaves me broken. But God’s nature leaves me alive. The experience of her at the concert was something that I have learned over and over again, but I always need reminding. It reminds me of the verse in Proverbs:As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Jesus sharpened my faith through Jon and the street corner musician from the story i heard from her.
This is Your Life - Are you who you want to be?
My favorite song by Jon’s band has lyrics that go like this:

“Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead.
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken.
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes.
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now, and today is all you’ll ever have.
This is your life. Are you who you want to be?”
When today is in the past and there may not be tomorrow, we only have today to do the work God has called us to do, and to be the person God wants us to be. Who do I want to be? I want to be more like Jesus - more like the person God wants me to be. Is your heart in the right place, are you who you want to be if today is “all you have?

 Let Jesus show up in you so you can be Jesus in disguise for others who desperately need Him.
 And when your heart is not in the right place, pray that God will sharpen you and that he would show up as Jesus in disguise for you. "

When we relie on God nothing can eve shake us or trouble us.
When we relie on God,we believe and  everything works for us
When we relie on God we keep ourself busy with God's work
When we relie on God our mind is filled by his spirit and we can only have good thoughts.
When we relie on God we are able to love one another and we do things to others things that we would love to recive from them.

when we relie on God we are able to see beyond what our ordinary eyes can see.
When we relie on God we are able to be real human being.
When we relie on God we will be patient when we ask anything from him for we believe that he will answer on his schedule not ours.

When we relie on God, we have strong faith in him and we are able to act on our faith.
When we relie on God nothing is impossible in his word.
When we relie on God, outside forces cannot control us.
When we relie on God, we are able to forgive and forget.
When we relie on God we are able to see ourselves in his Mirror and his shadow guides us.
When we relie on God we leve in his precense and saturn sees the flames of fire whenever he looks at us.

When we relie on God, we re truly blessed and we are priveldged to be called his sons and daughters, we are honoured to sit on his feet...
We ought to thank God for the gift of life,
Imagine if God would be charging us with every single breathe, would we relly manage it?
Why is it that our hearts are so hardened and we do not want to relie on him?
What really do we gain in relieng on this world and its people?
Why do we care so much on what the world says?? Do we relly take time to relie on what God says through his word???

Remember when we sin, we break the relationship with God but we don lose our place in heaven(only to mean that God gives us several chances to repent and still claim our place, he does not snatch our place when we reject him but he stores it for us)

God's word will forever remain to be the only true reality that brings hope and guides us through the right path to success,
We only need to have faith in God, trust the Mediator to God(J,E.S.U.S) and nothing can ever take us down.
